I have a very hands on little boy. For the better part of the last six months, he has been obsessed with his daddy’s tools and helping “fix” things. It all started with an outdoor project which led into me finding him with a toy hammer and his ride-on-car turned on its side. “I fixin’ car, Mum Mum.” And fix he did. I am ashamed to say that in all his banging, he has managed to knock off several screws and bolts and I, having no handy qualities, can’t for the life of me figure out where they go. So I pray every time he rides the car that a wheel doesn’t fall off or the whole thing collapse! Mom of the Year award right here.
With all this tool business, you can imagine my excitement when a friend shared with me about the Lowe’s Build and Grow clinics. Basically, it is a free clinic where your child will build something wooden and get the apron, goggles, patch, etc to go with it. And did I mention it’s FREE?! We have registered our sweet boy for the next one in April…such a fun Father/Son outing…and I can’t wait to hear about how it goes from my husband!
